Solana Onchain Spot Trading Hits $1.6 Trillion in 2025, Closing Gap With Top Exchanges

On 3 January 2026, data cited by The Kobeissi Letter showed that Solana's onchain spot trading volume reached $1.6 trillion in 2025, putting it ahead of most major centralized exchanges except Binance. Onchain activity on Solana climbed from about 1% of the crypto market in 2022 to roughly 12% in 2025, as users shifted more spot trading directly onto the blockchain.
