European Stablecoin Transactions on Ethereum and Solana Top 113 Million in 2025 Under MiCAR Scrutiny

On 30 December 2025, new onchain data showed that stablecoins on Ethereum and Solana recorded over 113 million transactions during European trading hours in 2025, signaling rapid growth in usage. Activity more than doubled compared with 2024, even as the MiCAR regulatory framework tightened rules and policymakers highlighted potential financial stability risks.
