Cryptoquant KPI Nears 2% on May 7 as South Korea's Bitcoin Premium Returns Above $80K

Bitcoin traded above $80,000, and South Korean spot prices moved to a near-2% premium versus global VWAP, with Cryptoquant's Korea Premium Index reaching 1.98% on May 7. The premium followed weeks of uneven swings that included a 2.27% discount in early March and intermittent recoveries through late March and April. As of May 9, the KPI eased to a 0.77% premium when comparing VWAP metrics with prices on Upbit.
