Bitcoin Holders Slow Distribution as Ethereum Whales Boost Accumulation in Late 2025

On 30 December 2025, onchain indicators showed that long-term Bitcoin holders had halted their selling for the first time in about six months, after offloading roughly 500,000 BTC since mid-summer. Over the same period, large Ethereum wallets holding at least 1,000 ETH accumulated around 120,000 ETH and increased their share of the total supply to nearly 70%. Bitcoin hovered near $87,750 while Ethereum traded around $2,975, with market sentiment still cautious and US-based traders showing continued selling pressure.
