Whale Opens $9M 20x ETH Long at $3,005 After Closing Short Position

A whale address (0x61c...) opened a 20x leveraged ETH long position worth $9M at an average entry of $3,005 on January 22, while placing around 100 buy orders between $2,960 and $2,980 totaling approximately $11M, HyperInsight data show. Earlier that day, the address deposited $5.106M to Hyperliquid and established a $36.27M BTC long alongside $36.87M in short positions across ETH, SOL and AVAX, bringing total exposure to $73.15M. The ETH short was closed at break-even around 14:00.
