Large Crypto Investor Expands Leveraged BTC and ETH Short Positions to $109M

On January 4, a crypto whale expanded leveraged short exposure to about $109 million across Bitcoin and Ethereum, according to Onchain Lens. The positions include 751.38 BTC shorts ($68.67 million) at 10x leverage and 12,909.15 ETH shorts ($40.79 million) at 15x leverage, currently showing over $1.8 million in unrealized losses. The move follows an earlier sale of 255 BTC, reinforcing the investor’s bearish outlook.
