Whale Address pension-usdt.eth Closes $63.5M Leveraged ETH Short, Transfers Profits to AAVE

On Jan. 8, the whale address pension-usdt.eth fully closed a 3x leveraged Ethereum (ETH) short worth about $63.5 million, according to Coinbob data cited by BlockBeats. Opened on Jan. 4 at $3,136, the position moved from a $3.4 million unrealized loss to profit before closing. The whale has actively traded BTC and ETH since October using low leverage and short holding periods, generating over $21 million in profits, with recent Hyperliquid gains moved into Aave, where total deposits now stand at roughly $26.71 million.
