UK hacker Danny arrested with $18.58M crypto seized, ZachXBT reports

Danny, also known as Meech or Danish Zulfiqar Khan, has been arrested by law enforcement with crypto assets seized, on-chain investigator ZachXBT reported on December 5. Multiple addresses linked to the UK-based individual transferred $18.58 million in cryptocurrency to an address starting with 0xb37d hours prior, in a pattern consistent with asset seizures by authorities. Danny is allegedly tied to the August 2024 theft of $243 million in crypto from Genesis creditors, involving co-conspirators identified as Malone, Veer, Chen, and Jeandiel, and to the August 2023 Kroll SIM-swap attack that exposed personal data of BlockFi, Genesis, and FTX creditors, leading to over $300 million in losses from targeted social engineering scams.
