U.S. Senate Crypto Market Bill Faces Several-Week Delay
The U.S. crypto market structure bill is expected to be delayed by several weeks in the Senate, according to crypto news outlet Wu Blockchain. The outlet reported that the Senate Banking Committee has postponed action on the measure, while the Senate Agriculture Committee is still expected to vote on its own digital asset bill on January 27. The two measures would then need to be combined before a full Senate vote, Wu Blockchain reported. The legislative efforts follow prior bipartisan attempts to establish a regulatory framework for digital assets.
