U.S. Federal Court Dismisses Four-Year Class Action Against Uniswap Labs Over Scam Tokens

A U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York dismissed with prejudice a class action lawsuit against Uniswap Labs and founder Hayden Adams over alleged scam tokens traded on the Uniswap protocol, court filings show. Judge Katherine Polk Failla ruled the plaintiffs failed to plausibly allege the defendants knew of the purported fraud or aided issuers of the scam tokens, leaving no viable claims after three separate complaints filed between April 2022 and May 2025. The case, which initially asserted 14 claims under federal securities laws before shifting to state-law theories, saw most defendants dismissed before only Uniswap and Adams remained. Adams described the outcome as a "good, sensible outcome."
