TrustedVolumes Loses $5.87M in Ethereum Resolver Exploit

TrustedVolumes, a market maker and resolver on 1inch, has suffered a hack on Ethereum, according to onchain security firm Blockaid. Blockaid said the compromised target was TrustedVolumes' resolver contract, with the attacker siphoning about $5.87 million. Stolen assets included 1,291.16 WETH, 206,282 USDT, 16.939 WBTC, and 1,268,771 USDC. The incident follows a similar episode tied to the same operator, who previously exploited 1inch Fusion V1 in March 2025 for roughly $5 million. Blockaid said the latest attack stems from a different flaw involving a custom RFQ (request for quote) proxy controlled by TrustedVolumes. TrustedVolumes acknowledged the exploit on X and published addresses for three wallets holding the stolen funds, which it said contained about $3 million, $3 million, and $700,000, respectively. The firm added that it is open to discussions on a bug bounty and a mutually acceptable resolution. Crypto-related fraud has continued to accelerate in 2026. DeFi losses have reached nearly $770 million year-to-date, after $169 million in Q1, with close to 30 incidents in April alone totaling more than $600 million, according to DeFiLlama. Law enforcement agencies including the FBI, Dubai Police, and China's Ministry of Public Security have recently coordinated efforts against crypto fraud, dismantling at least nine scam centers and arresting 276 people. In summary, the TrustedVolumes exploit drained $5.87 million, underscoring a surge in scams that has pushed losses to record levels within the first five months of 2026.
