TrustedVolumes hit by exploit, about $5.9 million drained

May 7 — On-chain security firm PeckShield flagged an attack on crypto market maker TrustedVolumes, with estimated losses of about $5.9 million. Stolen assets include roughly $3.02 million in ETH, $1.37 million in WBTC, and $1.47 million in stablecoins. The attacker has since swapped the proceeds into about 2,513 ETH. TrustedVolumes previously suffered a hack in 2025 tied to a vulnerability in an older 1inch Fusion v1 smart contract, losing around $4.5 million, mainly in USDC and WETH. Most funds were later returned after negotiations in exchange for a 10% "bounty." The incident did not impact end users and primarily affected third-party market makers.
