Trust Wallet confirms $7M affected, pledges full refunds and urges extension users to update

Trust Wallet said on Dec. 26 that around $7 million has been affected and the team will ensure all impacted users receive refunds. The team described support for those users as its top priority and noted it is refining the refund process. Trust Wallet urged users of the browser extension v2.68 not to open the extension on desktop, to switch off the Trust Wallet toggle in the Chrome extensions panel at chrome://extensions/?id=egjidjbpglichdcondbcbdnbeeppgdph, then enable developer mode, click the update button, and confirm that the extension version has been upgraded to 2.69, which it described as the latest secure release.
