THORChain Hit by Suspected Exploit; Losses May Top $7.4M as Trading Is Halted

PANews, May 15 — Blockchain investigator ZachXBT said cross-chain protocol THORChain appears to have suffered an attack spanning the Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain and Base networks, with potential losses exceeding $7.4 million. A THORChain community member reported abnormal transfers originating from the TC Router in Discord and urged node operators to initiate a network-wide emergency halt. THORChain has since suspended all trading functions.
