Tether mints $2B USDT on Ethereum as supply hits record high

Tether has authorized and minted $2 billion of new USDT on the Ethereum network over the past 72 hours. On-chain data from Arkham shows the tokens were transferred from the Tether Treasury to major exchange clearing addresses. The issuance lifts USDT's circulating supply to a fresh all-time high during a period of heightened global market volatility.
