Sui Liquid Staking Platform Volo Hit by $3.5M Vault Exploit

Volo, a liquid staking platform in the Sui ecosystem, said on April 22 that it suffered a security breach that resulted in the theft of about $3.5 million from three Vaults. The stolen assets included WBTC, XAUm and USDC. The team said it immediately alerted the Sui Foundation and ecosystem partners and froze all Vaults to prevent additional losses. Volo added that the vulnerability was limited to the three affected Vaults, with no other Vaults exposed to the same attack vector. Roughly $28 million in TVL remains secure. Volo said it will cover the losses and will not pass costs on to users. A full incident report and remediation plan will be released once the investigation is completed.
