Strategy buys 24,869 BTC for about $2.01B at roughly $80,985 per coin; deal ranks 6th-largest in its history

Strategy said it has purchased 24,869 Bitcoin (BTC) for approximately $2.01 billion, implying an average price of about $80,985 per BTC. The transaction is the company's sixth-largest single Bitcoin acquisition on record. Larger buys include two outsized purchases in November 2024 totaling 55,000 BTC and 51,000 BTC, along with a handful of other deals that exceeded today's size.
