Sharplink, Forward Industries Set to Enter Russell 2000/3000, Giving Index Investors Indirect ETH and SOL Exposure
Sharplink and Forward Industries, both of which have adopted cryptocurrency treasury strategies, are slated to be added to the Russell 2000 and Russell 3000 as part of FTSE Russell's annual reconstitution, according to The Block. The changes take effect at the open of U.S. trading on June 29, potentially giving index-tracking investors indirect exposure to ETH and SOL via the two companies.
The report said Sharplink holds 868,699 ETH valued at nearly $1.8 billion, while Forward Industries holds roughly $585 million worth of SOL. FTSE Russell has previously said about $12.2 trillion in assets are benchmarked to Russell U.S. indexes.
