QatarEnergy CEO: Repairs may take 3–5 years after Iranian strikes cut 17% of Qatar’s LNG export capacity
QatarEnergy CEO Saad alKaabi said it could take three to five years to repair facilities damaged by Iranian strikes that have knocked out 17% of Qatar’s LNG export capacity. The disruption is expected to erase about $20 billion in annual revenue and raises risks to gas supply for Europe and Asia.
Damage details:
• 2 of 14 LNG trains hit
• 1 of 2 GTL facilities damaged
• 12.8 million tons per year of LNG offline
