NVIDIA fiscal 2027 Q1 revenue tops estimates at $81.6 billion
NVIDIA (NVDA.O) reported results after the market close on Wednesday. For the first quarter of fiscal 2027, revenue came in at $81.6 billion, ahead of the market estimate of $78.672 billion, ME News reported on May 21 (UTC+8).
Data center revenue, the company's main growth engine, rose to $75.2 billion versus expectations of $72.8 billion. The company also approved an $80 billion share repurchase program and raised its quarterly cash dividend to $0.25 per share from $0.01.
Spending tied to NVIDIA's data center business continues to look resilient. For fiscal 2027 Q2, NVIDIA guided to revenue of about $91 billion, plus or minus 2%, above the median consensus forecast of $86.788 billion. Some projections had reached as high as $96 billion. (Source: Jinshi)
