NVIDIA posts Q1 revenue of $81.6B; data center sales top $75.2B

NVIDIA (NVDA.O) reported quarterly results after the U.S. market close on Wednesday. For its first quarter ended April 26, 2026, revenue came in at $81.6 billion, up 20% from the prior quarter and 85% year over year, beating the market expectation of $78.672 billion, according to Huo Xing Cai Jing. Data center revenue—the company's largest business—reached $75.2 billion, above the $72.8 billion consensus estimate. NVIDIA also authorized an $80 billion share repurchase program and raised its quarterly cash dividend to $0.25 per share from $0.01. The company said data center spending shows no signs of slowing. For Q2, NVIDIA forecast revenue of $91 billion, plus or minus 2%, compared with a consensus midpoint of $86.788 billion; some estimates had been as high as $96 billion.
