Lido Halts zkSync wstETH Bridge Deposits After Identifying Potential Vulnerability

Lido disclosed on March 3 that it identified a potential vulnerability in the zkSync wstETH bridge endpoint contract, though there is no indication of exploitation and wstETH holders on zkSync remain unaffected, BlockBeats reports. The protocol suspended new deposits into the zkSync bridge contract as a precaution, while withdrawals from zkSync and token transfers continue normally. Lido said it has prepared a fix to undergo audit and be deployed during the next scheduled onchain governance vote in late March or early April, after which deposit functionality is expected to resume.
