KelpDAO Recovers 73,700 ETH; Remaining Shortfall Narrows to 89,500 ETH
KelpDAO said on April 24 that it has been working closely with Aave since April 18, alongside ecosystem partners, to coordinate fund recovery for rsETH holders, outlining both current progress and next steps. ether.fi, Ethena, Lido, Golem, Mantle, and LayerZero have pledged support within their capacity, with additional announcements expected.
The incident initially left a 163,200 ETH shortfall. To date, Kelp has recovered 40,300 rsETH (about 43,000 ETH), and the Arbitrum Security Council has secured another 30,700 ETH. The remaining gap now stands at roughly 89,500 ETH.
Kelp said that within the outstanding amount, public commitments from Mantle, Stani, EtherFi, Lido, Golem, and others total about 43,500 ETH, and it is in active discussions to finalize specific funding arrangements. The firm reiterated that rsETH holders remain the top priority and said it will continue providing further commitments and updates.
