Iran Reopens the Strait of Hormuz to Commercial Traffic During Ceasefire

Iran has reopened the Strait of Hormuz to all commercial vessels for the remainder of the ceasefire period. Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi confirmed the move in a post on X, saying that, in line with the ceasefire in Lebanon, commercial passage through the strait is "completely open" for the rest of the ceasefire, and that ships should use the coordinated route previously announced by the Ports and Maritime Organisation of the Islamic Rep. of Iran.
