Hyperbridge exploit lets attacker mint 1B bridged $DOT tokens valued at over $1.1B

A flaw in Hyperbridge's proof-verification process enabled an attacker to mint 1 billion bridged $DOT tokens, with a notional value exceeding $1.1B. Hyperbridge said the issue stemmed from a vulnerability in its Token Gateway, which was exploited on April 13, 2026, leading to roughly $237,000 in losses on #Ethereum.
