Gnosis, Zisk Unveil "Easy" Ethereum Economic Zone Rollup Framework Backed by Ethereum Foundation

PANews, March 29 — Gnosis cofounder Friederike Ernst and Zisk founder Jordi Baylina introduced a new initiative dubbed the "easy" Ethereum Economic Zone (EEZ) at the EthCC conference in Cannes, according to The Block. Cofunded by the Ethereum Foundation, the project seeks to build a framework that lets Rollups coordinate and communicate with one another and with the Ethereum mainnet within a single transaction. Under the EEZ design, smart contracts on participating Rollups will be able to invoke contracts on Ethereum or on other EEZ Rollups while retaining the same security assurances as if they were deployed directly on Ethereum. The framework also makes ETH the default gas token, removing the need for additional bridging infrastructure.
