Gnosis and Zisk Unveil "Ethereum Economic Zone" Rollup Framework with Ethereum Foundation Support

Friederike Ernst, co-founder of Gnosis, and Jordi Baylina, founder of Zisk, introduced the "Ethereum Economic Zone" (EEZ) rollup framework at EthCC, backed by funding from the Ethereum Foundation. The initiative is designed to improve composability across rollups, allowing smart contracts to interact synchronously with the Ethereum mainnet and other EEZ networks while matching mainnet security. EEZ uses ETH as the default gas token, removing the need for additional cross-chain bridge infrastructure. Early members include Aave, Titan, Beaver Build, Centrifuge, and xStocks. The group plans to operate as a Swiss nonprofit, open-source the software, and publish technical details in the coming weeks. (The Block)
