EU Proposes Ban on All Crypto Transactions with Russia, Digital Rouble Use

The European Commission proposed banning all cryptocurrency transactions with Russia to prevent sanctions evasion through crypto channels. The proposal would prohibit dealings with any Russia-based crypto service provider, sanction 20 additional banks, and ban use of the digital rouble. Elliptic reports transaction volume on A7A5 exceeded $100 billion.
