Ethereum Protocol Truebit Loses $26.6M in Security Breach as TRU Token Price Collapses

Truebit, an Ethereum-based verification protocol, lost approximately 8,535 ETH worth roughly $26.6 million on Jan. 9 after a security vulnerability allowed an attacker to acquire its native TRU token at artificially low prices, BlockBeats reports. The TRU token price collapsed from around $0.16 to $0.0000000007191, rendering its market capitalization incalculable, CoinGecko data show.
