DeFi United Rescue Drive Tops 100,000 ETH as Arbitrum DAO Unlocks 30,765 ETH

BlockBeats reported that the DeFi United rescue effort led by Aave is advancing. On April 26, Arbitrum DAO unlocked 30,765 ETH that had been frozen after the rsETH incident on April 18. The designated donation address has now received 100,360 ETH in total, intended to cover the collateral shortfall triggered by the April 18 rsETH event. The initiative is designed to rebuild rsETH's backing through coordinated action, stabilize market conditions, and limit the risk of cross-protocol defaults. The funds are expected to support the restoration of collateralization ratios and be deployed in coordination with relevant protocols to help markets gradually return to normal. Key pledges and participants disclosed so far include: Arbitrum DAO's release of 30,765 ETH frozen following the April 18 rsETH event; Mantle's planned 30,000 ETH contribution; AaveDAO's planned 25,000 ETH contribution; Aave founder Stani Kulechov confirming 5,000 ETH; EtherFi's planned 5,000 ETH; Lido's planned 2,500 stETH; and the Golem Foundation and related projects contributing a combined 1,000 ETH. LayerZero, Ethena, Frax Finance, Ink Foundation, and others have also confirmed participation, with amounts not yet disclosed. BlockBeats noted that further progress still hinges on external conditions, including KelpDAO restoring rsETH redemptions and the Arbitrum Security Council releasing additional frozen assets. The timeline and final outcome remain uncertain.
