Crypto liquidations hit $722M in 24 hours, shorts dominate

ChainCatcher cited Coinglass data showing total crypto liquidations of $722 million over the past 24 hours. Long positions accounted for $266 million, while short positions totaled $456 million. By asset, Bitcoin saw $72.64 million in long liquidations and $209 million in short liquidations. Ethereum recorded $73.42 million in liquidated longs and $110 million in liquidated shorts. Coinglass also reported 197,074 liquidated traders globally during the period. The largest single liquidation was on Hyperliquid's BTCUSD contract, worth $15.75 million.
