Crypto market sees $279M in liquidations over 24 hours, longs account for $166M

The crypto market recorded $279 million in liquidations over the past 24 hours, with long positions accounting for $166 million and short positions $113 million, Coinglass data show. Bitcoin long liquidations reached $38.6 million compared to $28.87 million in shorts, while Ethereum saw $59.38 million in long liquidations versus $18.49 million in shorts. A total of 108,155 traders were liquidated globally during the period, with the largest single liquidation occurring on Hyperliquid's SOLUSD pair at $1.98 million.
