Bitcoin Move Below $85,000 or Above $90,000 Could Trigger Over $2.6B in CEX Liquidations
Bitcoin could see cumulative long liquidations of $1.106B on major centralized exchanges if the price falls below $85,000, Coinglass data show. If Bitcoin instead breaks above $90,000, cumulative short liquidations on major CEXs would reach $1.584B, according to data cited by BlockBeats on Jan. 26. The liquidation chart does not represent an exact number of contracts or precise notional value to be liquidated, but rather the relative importance of each liquidation cluster compared with nearby clusters. Higher liquidation bars on the chart indicate that once price reaches those levels, the resulting liquidity wave could lead to a stronger market reaction.
