Coinbase to List tGBP Stablecoin on April 22, 2026

Coinbase said it will begin listing tGBP, a fiat-backed stablecoin, on April 22, 2026. The company noted that users will be able to buy, sell, trade, send, and receive tGBP through the Coinbase App and Coinbase Exchange. Coinbase added that tGBP issuer BCP Technologies is registered with the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and is participating in the FCA's regulatory sandbox. The launch forms part of Coinbase's international expansion plan, aimed at supporting a wider range of local-currency stablecoins.
