CME FedWatch: 92.8% Odds the Fed Holds Rates Steady in June

ChainCatcher cited CNBC as reporting that CME's FedWatch tool now assigns a 92.8% probability to the Federal Reserve keeping interest rates unchanged at the June meeting, versus a 7.2% chance of a cumulative 25-basis-point cut. For July, the odds of no change stand at 88.8%, with a 10.9% probability of a 25-basis-point cut and a 0.3% probability of a 50-basis-point cut. By September, FedWatch puts the likelihood of holding steady at 83%, while pricing in a 16% chance of a 25-basis-point cut and a 1% chance of a 50-basis-point cut.
