Circle Secures $222 Million in ARC Token Private Sale; Network Valuation Reaches $3 Billion
Circle Internet Group (NYSE: CRCL) announced on Monday the completion of a $222 million private placement for 740 million ARC tokens, valuing the Arc blockchain network at $3 billion on a fully diluted basis. According to CoinDesk, the round was led by a16z Crypto and included major participants such as BlackRock, Apollo Funds, and ARK Invest. The agreement, signed on Friday, priced tokens at $0.30 each. Concurrent with the sale, Circle released its Q1 2026 financial results, reporting a 20% increase in total revenue to $694 million, driven by a 28% year-over-year rise in USDC circulation to $77 billion. Despite revenue growth, net profit fell 15% to $55 million due to increased operating expenses following the company's IPO. Circle aims to position Arc as a primary settlement layer for tokenized assets and programmable finance.
