Brazil Central Bank to Bar Stablecoin, Crypto Settlement in Cross-Border Payments From Oct. 1

Brazil's central bank will prohibit the use of stablecoins and other cryptocurrencies to settle cross-border payment transactions. The restriction takes effect October 1.
