Bloomberg's Balchunas: Baby Boomers Put $500M Into Spot Bitcoin ETFs Despite Market Pressure
Odaily Planet Daily reported that Eric Balchunas, Bloomberg's senior ETF analyst, wrote on X that U.S. Baby Boomer investors quietly added about $500 million to spot Bitcoin ETFs yesterday, even as markets faced pressure and multiple macro headwinds. The inflow has helped narrow part of the funding shortfall seen since the start of the year. Data still shows year-to-date net flows for Bitcoin ETFs remain slightly negative, pointing to a broader wait-and-see stance. Even so, the latest buying wave suggests some traditional investors are showing rising interest in holding Bitcoin ETFs as a long-term allocation.
