BlackRock's IBIT Records Historic $527.8 Million Single-Day Outflow Amid Bitcoin Price Correction
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) experienced a record-breaking $527.8 million in net outflows on Nov. 18, representing the largest single-day redemption since the fund's inception in January 2024. This figure surpassed the previous record of $463 million set just days earlier on Nov. 14. The Nov. 18 drawdown concluded a five-day streak of withdrawals exceeding $1.4 billion, positioning November 2025 as the fund's most challenging month with month-to-date redemptions surpassing $2 billion. This surge in outflows coincided with Bitcoin's price retreating below the $90,000–$93,000 range. Despite the recent volatility, IBIT maintains its status as the leading spot Bitcoin ETF, having secured over $25 billion in net inflows throughout 2025. The trend underscores the sensitivity of ETF capital flows to broader market price action and the resulting liquidity pressure on underlying assets.
