Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP Rise as Crypto Market Cap Jumps $90 Billion in 15 Hours

Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP posted strong gains as total crypto market capitalization climbed $90 billion over 15 hours, data show. Bitcoin traded at $72,867, up 4.80%, Ethereum reached $2,170 with a 6.11% gain, and XRP rose 4.66% to $1.43, pushing overall market cap to $2.49 trillion. Solana added 6.94% to $91.61 and Dogecoin gained 5.20% to $0.098, while nearly $200 million in short positions were liquidated. Macro data included PCE Price Index at 2.8% versus 2.9% expected, JOLTS Job Openings at 6,946,000 against a 6,700,000 forecast, and US Q4 GDP at 0.7% compared with 1.4% estimates, with the Fear and Greed Index at 37 and Altcoin Season Index at 40.
