Bitcoin Addresses Holding 1,000–10,000 BTC Post Fastest Year-Over-Year Drop Since Early 2023

Addresses holding between 1,000 and 10,000 BTC saw their year-over-year holdings decrease by 220,000 BTC, the fastest decline since early 2023, CryptoQuant said on Jan. 9. The firm referred to this bracket as large Bitcoin investors and derived the reading from aggregated on-chain data that track balances at those addresses, comparing the current level to the same time one year earlier, BlockBeats reported. CryptoQuant also noted that a similar pattern occurred in 2021–2022, after which prices reached a peak.
