Binance SAFU Fund's Bitcoin Holdings Rise to $741.39M, Up 1% from Purchase Cost

Binance's SAFU fund holds 10,455 BTC valued at $741.39M as of Feb. 9, generating an unrealized gain of roughly 1% or $7.3M against its total acquisition cost of $734.09M, BlockBeats reports. The fund added Bitcoin in four recent transfers to its SAFU address. On Jan. 30, Binance announced it would gradually convert its then-$1B stablecoin reserve into Bitcoin within 30 days, and would replenish BTC holdings to restore the reserve to $1B if market volatility pushed its value below $800M.
