Abraxas Capital Closes $10.26M in ETH Shorts Over Two Days

Two addresses linked to Abraxas Capital (0x5b5, 0xb83) closed approximately $10.26 million in ETH short positions over the past two days, HyperInsight data show on Dec. 8. The entity currently holds short positions worth about $51.57 million at an average price of $3,522, with unrealized gains of $6.68 million and funding rate profits of $13.61 million. Since early November, Abraxas Capital reduced its ETH short exposure from $267 million to $51.57 million and deployed partial funds to acquire HYPE spot holdings now valued at approximately $53.84 million. The addresses closed 22 of their previous short positions, retaining only three positions exceeding $200,000: ETH, HYPE, and FARTCOIN shorts.
