Ethereum PoS Network: 2.17 Million ETH Queued for Activation, Delay Nears 38 Days

As of Jan. 13, 2024, over 2.17 million ETH—worth about $6.74 billion—are queued for activation on Ethereum’s proof-of-stake system, extending the wait time to roughly 37 days, BlockBeats reported. The backlog is largely attributed to BitMine staking a sizable share of its ETH. By contrast, just 11,063 ETH ($34.35 million) sit in the exit queue with a wait of under five hours, signaling strong validator confidence despite the activation delay.
