Garrett Jin's XHash Identified in Ethereum Staking Pools with 886,440 ETH Deposits
On Jan. 6, BlockBeats reported that on-chain investigator “Eye” linked Garrett Jin, via XHash, to the creation of two Ethereum staking contracts—Eth2Depositor and EthBatchDepositor—which reportedly received about 886,440 ETH. The staking activity was allegedly funded by Bitcoin sales on Hyperliquid/Hyperunit between August and September and ran for roughly four months before being fully unstaked. The investigation also cited ties to Jack Chen, co-founder of Hypercieve and founder of SpiderPool, who previously worked with Jin at HTX, with “Eye” suggesting Chen may be a key figure in co-managing an estimated $10 billion fund pool.
