BitMine's Ethereum Staking Tops 3.33M ETH, Worth About $7.1B

According to Huo Xing Finance, BitMine said on April 6 that as of April 5, 2026 it had staked 3,334,637 ETH, valued at roughly $7.1 billion based on an ETH price of about $2,123. The staked amount represents a large share of the firm's total Ethereum holdings, which it put at around 4.5 million ETH. BitMine's staking activity has accelerated sharply in 2026. Staked ETH climbed from about 659,000 in early January to 3.33 million at present, after holding near 3.04 million ETH through February and March before picking up again. On the yield side, the Composite Ethereum Staking Rate (CESR) stands at about 2.74%. BitMine reported a seven-day staking yield of roughly 2.78%, slightly above the market average. Analysts said the continued increase in staking reflects a strategy focused on yield-generating asset allocation, reinforcing the balance between on-chain returns and long-term holdings.
