CRYPTO: DAI-to-USDS Migration Goes Live as Major Exchanges Start Automatic Conversions This Week

MakerDAO's rebrand into Sky Protocol is moving into its final stage as leading exchanges begin the $DAI to $USDS token migration. Binance will delist all DAI trading pairs on April 7 at 3:00 UTC, with USDS trading set to begin April 9. Coinbase, Phemex, BitMart, and Bitunix are following similar schedules. Exchanges will convert all DAI balances to USDS automatically at a 1:1 ratio. No user action is required for tokens held on exchanges. Most platforms are expected to have an estimated 48–53 hour period during which trading in both DAI and USDS will be unavailable. DAI currently has an approximate $4.5B market capitalization. USDS retains the same decentralized, collateral-backed model, while positioning the asset for broader institutional adoption under @SkyEcosystem. For users holding DAI in private wallets, on-chain conversion remains available via the Sky Protocol interface.
