On Monday, February 2, BlackRock trimmed its exposure to Bitcoin and Ethereum by more than $600 million, offloading 6,306 BTC worth about $496.41 million and 58,327 ETH valued at roughly $138.23 million. These moves made the firm responsible for 78% of U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF outflows and nearly 54% of Ethereum redemptions that day, while both BTC and ETH prices remained under pressure in early February.

Fundstrat's Tom Lee said the recent ETH sell‑off looks misaligned with fundamentals, citing low leverage and strength in gold. BitMine added 41,788 ETH last week and, as of February 1st–2, reported 2,897,459 ETH staked (about $6.7 billion) and $10.7 billion in total crypto and investment assets, with no outstanding debt.

On February 2, Bitcoin spot ETFs drew $561.8 million in net inflows, indicating renewed institutional demand, according to the report. Ethereum ETFs posted a $2.9 million net outflow, while Solana products added $5.5 million and XRP saw about $404,690 in redemptions as prices for all four assets advanced.

ING Germany, the retail arm of ING Group, is broadening crypto investment access by listing Bitwise crypto ETPs and VanEck crypto ETNs that track Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, XRP and other major tokens. From February, clients can trade Bitwise products on Xetra with no execution fees on orders from 1,000 euros and also use them in fee-free savings plans, while VanEck offers 10 single-asset and two basket ETNs.

ING Deutschland has opened retail access to crypto-linked exchange-traded notes via its securities platform, giving exposure to Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana. The ETNs, issued by 21Shares, Bitwise and VanEck, trade on regulated venues through the Direct Depot service, while the bank highlighted tax alignment and warned of risks including volatility and issuer insolvency.

In Q1 2026, Ether (ETH) is down 21% — its third-weakest first quarter — according to CoinGlass, but Fundstrat’s Tom Lee argues the pullback looks attractive amid strengthening fundamentals. He points to record network activity and says weakness stems from leverage not returning since the Oct. 10 crash and capital rotating to precious metals; Lee also noted BitMine bought 41,788 ETH last week.

Ethereum slid beneath 2,420 and 2,300 and is trying to rebound from the 2,155–2,150 area, but sellers cap recoveries near 2,350–2,365 with the 100 hour SMA overhead. A decisive move above 2,450 and toward 2,600 could open 2,700, while rejection at 2,365 leaves 2,250, 2,220 and 2,150 as key supports.

After slipping below $75,000 on Monday, Bitcoin changed hands at $78,989 by Tuesday morning, up 1.7% in 24 hours, per CoinMarketCap. Polymarket tallied about $1 million in Bitcoin prediction volume Monday, with odds of a drop below $65,000 in 2026 set at 71%, even as Ethereum and Solana also advanced.

Ethereum slid toward the $2,200 area after repeated failures to clear $2,500–$2,550 triggered a sharp sell-off. According to on-chain data, roughly 600,000 ETH moved to exchanges in a single day, and derivatives liquidations reached about $280 million over 24 hours. On-chain analysts also noted whale longs with over 45,000 ETH posted as collateral and roughly $100 million borrowed.

During a live market rundown, a crypto host warned that Bitcoin slipping below $80,000 alongside sizable spot ETF outflows is eroding price support and could deepen a correction, with a downside focus near $68,000 tied to the 200‑week EMA. Over the past 24 hours, according to the host, roughly $1.5–$1.6 billion in positions were liquidated, while U.S. spot ETFs saw month‑to‑date net withdrawals around $1.6 billion.
