Fundstrat's Tom Lee projects 2026 crypto and stock market slump before year-end rebound
Fundstrat head of research Tom Lee, who also chairs Ethereum treasury firm BitMine, forecasts a "painful" pullback in crypto and equities in 2026 before a strong recovery toward year-end. He still expects Bitcoin to reach a fresh all-time high this year, viewing it as confirmation that the October 10 deleveraging shock is behind the market. Lee and other analysts also see energy, basic materials and metals as potential outperformers in 2026, though some warn of a later sharp correction that could hit crypto even harder.

NYSE plans 24/7, instant on-chain settlement for tokenized equities using stablecoins
NYSE said it is developing an on-chain platform to trade and settle tokenized U.S. equities and ETFs, and will seek regulatory approvals for a proposed venue built on that infrastructure. According to ICE, the system targets 24/7 operations, instant settlement, dollar-sized orders, and stablecoin-based funding, with post-trade systems capable of supporting multiple chains for settlement and custody.
