Robinhood announced on its official website that the Robinhood Chain public testnet will launch soon as an Ethereum Layer 2 focused on tokenization of real-world and digital assets, aiming to accelerate on-chain financial services development, ChainCatcher reported. Developers can now build and verify applications on the core infrastructure, with multiple infrastructure service providers already connected and additional partners joining during early testnet stages. The public testnet will lay groundwork for developers to explore capabilities and verify applications ahead of mainnet launch, while promoting real-world asset tokenization and DeFi liquidity access across its Ethereum Layer 2 environment. The network will support 24/7 trading, cross-chain bridging and self-custody, covering scenarios including tokenized asset platforms, lending protocols and perpetual contract exchanges, Robinhood said on its website.
